Last summer vacation, I attended seminar regarding Photography. I learned some steps and techniques which all about Clipping Path, using Adobe Photoshop pen tool. Here are some of the steps I learned from them;

Step1:
Import the image (picture above) to Adobe Photoshop. Then Press CTRL+J to duplicate the layer.

Fig1. Duplicate (CTRL + J) the picture
Step2:
Choose the Pen Tool on the tools sections of your Photoshop or simply press P to navigate the pen tool. Using pen tool, clip your image on the edges you want to clip (see the picture below). Make it sure that the pen tool you are using is set to "PATH".

Fig2.Set your pen tool to PATH.

Step3:
After you clipped the image using pen tool and while you are on that layer (second layer), click the PATHS TAB located on the left side of your photoshop document aligned with the layers and channels tab.

Fig4: Work Path
--> you will see the path of what you have done using pen tool, it has default name,WORK PATH, simply double click it to rename the path.
While you are still on that layer, press CTRL + Enter to select the clipped image and press CTRL + SHIFT + I to inverse the selected layer, then press delete to remove the background of the image.
Step4:
Going back to the Layers Tab, Hide the first layer to see the image without its background.
...you can now do what design you want to apply on your image. This is what i did on this image. I just simply change its background color from white to black.
